Microchip PIC Lab-III development board with PIC18F4550 microcontroller. PIC18F4550 is an 8 bit microcontroller that has a rich set of peripherals in it. This microcontroller has buitin USB 2.0 interface that makes it useful to learn and make USB 2.0 compliant slave devices. The board can be programmed useing standard ICSP with PICKit-2, PICKit-3, PICKit-3.5 or even simple JDM typ serial programmer.
With a suitable bootloader the microcontroller can be programmed over USB directly or by USB to serial adapter.
